Senate confirms Olivia Trusty to the FCC to fill out Rosenworcel's term
This is the first of two votes. This vote will result in a quorum for the June open meeting.
By a vote of 53-45, mostly along party lines, Olivia Trusty was confirmed by the Senate to serve out former Commissioner Rosenworcel’s term which ends June 30, 2025. There will be another vote Wednesday, June 18, 2025 to confirm Trusty for a five year term. With three commissioners, the FCC commission can go forward with its work. The rules say that the commission must have at least three active commissioners in order to have a quorum.
